Welcome to Dogtor Kristi!

I’m Kristi and welcome to my blog! Here you will find my visual journal and collection of experiences I’ve been eager to share. I’m a third-year veterinary student who’s passionate about helping others, exploring our world, and living a balanced life. I decided to start this blog to document my journey through veterinary school and share my experiences with anyone interested in vet med or simply the journey of a 24 year old trying to figure out life. During my first semester in vet school I struggled with depression, anxiety, and imposter syndrome (more to come on these topics). I came to the realization that in order to live the life I wanted I needed to maintain balance. This meant making time for more than just studying. After 16 years of schooling, you’d be surprised at how hard it is to let grades go and simply learn. But here I am. About to start my THIRD YEAR OF VETERINARY SCHOOL! Aside from veterinary medicine I’ve developed a deep love for traveling. If I’m not studying I’m most likely formulating a plan for my next adventure. I’ve been extremely fortunate to have traveled around the world and by sharing these experiences, I hope to educate others about the beauty that lies beyond our day to day lives. As a future veterinarian, learning about different species around the world and how they play a role in our ecosystem has become extremely important to me. A big goal for creating this blog is to share global experiences with you! I’m eager to continue documenting my journey and intend to share my experiences inside and outside of vet school in hopes to help and follow others along their own journeys! This is a space for expression, creativity, and celebration of life. It is my hope that this blog will not only be a place for my own experiences but for all of yours as well! I love connecting and learning about people so please reach out to me! Let’s get to know each other!
