Planning for the BIGGEST Exam of My Life: The NAVLE
It’s hard to put into words how I’m feeling about my current stage in life. I’m about to end my third year which marks the end of didactic work (YAY!). I’m about to start clinics in just a couple months (EEKK!) and then before I know it, I’ll be taking the biggest exam of my life: The NAVLE.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with this exam, it’s the North American Veterinary Licensing Exam. This is the national board exam for veterinarians wanting to practice in the United States and Canada. This is a computer-based examination that is comprised of 360 multiple choice questions. As veterinary students, we’ve spent years learning about the anatomy, physiology, pathology, etc. of different animals and it’s overwhelming to think that by the end of our schooling we’ll be tested on all of it. That’s why I’ve decided to get a head start on preparing for this exam so I can have a game plan ready before I enter clinics.
I’m extremely excited to announce that I have partnered with VetPrep to prepare me for arguably the most important exam of my life. Ever since I was in veterinary school, I’ve opted in to utilizing the resources VetPrep provides to veterinary students from years 1 to 4. I’ve enjoyed receiving their Daily Dose of VetPrep which is a daily email sent with a NAVLE question to answer. If you’re interested in receiving these email’s click here.
I’m looking forward to sharing my study plans and journey for conquering the NAVLE. I chose VetPrep as my go to study aid because they offer quality structured plans that are conducive to multiple learning types. VetPrep offers two different packages for students to pick from with multiple subscription choices. They offer 45, 90, or 180-day subscription options for the VetPrep Standard and VetPrep Premium packages. I absolutely love that I can utilize my package from the convenience of my phone through their mobile app and at my computer. For more information on the different study packages click this link!
